FAQ

Below you can find the most frequently asked questions about how to upgrade from soapUI to soapUI Pro. If you have a question which is not answered, please contact us.

We've made our own modifications to soapUI to better fit our needs; can I use these with soapUI Pro as well?
As long as you haven't changed any public API's in soapUI, you can just replace the soapui-XXX.jar in the soapUI Pro lib folder with your own and everything should be OK. Please note though that we will not provide professional support for soapUI Pro based on a modified soapUI core.

Does the Pro installation overwrite the Open Source version?
No, the versions are installed side-by-side.

Is Pro revertible, can I go back to Open Source?
Not quite, although we try to stay away from lock-ins, the Open Source version does not run DataSources; but that's it. If you have Data Driven tests, we recommend you to run the TestSuites in soapUI Pro in courtesy mode.
