Regression test suite

Hi Ole,

Could you please explain in brief, how to execute regression test suite in SoapUi 2.0.2, and also which are the plugins that has to be integrated with the tool.

Hi Mahesh,

You need to create on or more TestRequest Steps in a TestCase and to each of these add assertions that check the returned response to be valid. Then run this TestCase periodically to see that you are not getting any regression errors..

Thanks for the reply.

Could you let me know how to create regression test suite in SoapUi 2.0.2(free edition)?
Do we have to add Maven plug in, in order to create Regression suites?

Hi Mahesh,

You don't need maven plugin for running your tests, you can run them either with the command-line TestRunner (http://www.soapui.org/userguide/commandline/functional.html) or from inside soapUI.
