Hello,

Datasource option - "restart shared" is not documented in the manual.

Can somebody explain me what is does and when you can/must use this option.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Toby,

sorry for the delayed response. This is used together with the "Share" option; usually when running loadtests with a shared datasource, the data is only "consumed" once by a number of threads. If you do not want the data to control the limit of the loadtest, select the option and the datasource will be restarted until the loadtest limit is reached..

better explanation coming up in the documentation :-)

regards!

Hi again,

I've create a blog-entry that tries to explain this in little more detail when used with LoadTests, have a look at http://www.eviware.com/blogs/oleblog/?p=194 and please feel free to comment, question, etc..

regards!
