1  General Category / eviware general / Re: soapui new version on: July 08, 2008, 07:30:17 pm
I just wanted to check up on the load testing 'Grid' strategy. I remember last time we talked, the grid strategy was not quite clear. Something simple would work out well for us. What I have in mind is just to have 2 columns in the grid.
col1--> Number of threads to run
col2--> number of mins to run

that way I can have something like

num threds | time(min)    |
---------------------------------
2                 |     10
4                 |     20
6                 |     30

so in such a scenario, the statistics report really matter. I would ideally like to have a report that would give me the breakdown for 2,4,and 6 thread.

Thanks

Ali

5  soapUI / soapUI / soapui 1.7.6 thread not increasing in load test on: November 21, 2007, 11:57:13 pm
Hello Ole,
I have test where strategy = thread, start = 1, and end = 7.
The test is 50% done and the thread is still at 1. I also checked my post req/sec on the web server and seem to be not increasing.

Seems like a bug in 1.7.6.

Build soapuipro-dist-253, Build Date 2007/09/27 12:23. Would it be possible to fix 1.7.6 or 2.0.1 beta.

Thanks

6  soapUI / soapUI / Re: relative path for txt Files to be loaded from in Properties Step on: October 02, 2007, 11:37:21 pm
lets say our project file and properties file are in C:\temp
can we use something like

testRunner.testCase.testSuite.project.path\temp
or
context.testCase.testSuite.project.path\temp

in a datasource or properties file.

I saw this in one of your posts about absolute paths in groovy in sourceforge forums.

Thanks

7  General Category / eviware general / Jobs section on: June 30, 2007, 12:21:35 pm
Hello,
While soapUI is a great tool, there are still relatively few programmers/testers who are aware of the tool. finding candidates familiar with the tool is often hard to find. It would be great if your website has a jobs search/posting section where employers can find relevant candidates and vice versa.

Thanks

Hello,
I have been trying to convince my company to adapt soapUI Pro since I have been using it for sometime and it is absolutely wonderful and keep getting better. My company has apprehensions because it is open-source.

I want to set aside these fears but would like some information from you.

1. Do you have a list of companies who are using soapUI.
2. What kind of assurance do I have that soapUI / Eviware will continue to exist after 2-3 years. What happens if you sell eviware to some other company?

Thanks

Ali
